The Apito bluetooth sound device, designed by Mula Preta Design, is a unique combination of beauty and functionality. Inspired by the iconic wind instrument, this device pays homage to Brazilian culture and the rhythms of the Sapucai, the main stage of samba and the Brazilian carnival.
With its sleek and modern design, the Apito can be placed anywhere as a high-end decor piece. However, it also provides ambient sound through its built-in speakers, allowing you to enjoy your favorite music while adding a touch of art to your space.
Mula Preta Design is known for their unconventional and humorous design concepts, and the Apito is no exception. Available in white, black, and native wood finishes, this exceptional product blurs the lines between art and design, creating a truly unique experience for users.
The Apito is made from certified plywood and finished with wood wax. For the black and white versions, an extra acrylic part has been developed exclusively for a sleek and modern look.
With dimensions of 360 mm x 180 mm x 170 mm, the Apito is compact yet powerful, delivering high-quality sound for up to 8 hours on a single charge. It can be easily connected to any Bluetooth-enabled device or used with an auxiliary spot device.
The Apito project started in October and was completed in November of 2014. It is a testament to the creativity and innovation of Mula Preta Design, showcasing their ability to merge art, design, and functionality into a single product.
This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Digital and Electronic Device Design category in 2015. This award is a testament to the outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill demonstrated by Mula Preta Design in creating the Apito.
